A cleared table. Then soft rhythmic drumming… The silent table fills with the sound of finger tapping. The sky is dark and small raindrops start to fall. Flat hands try to drown out the rain, where arms and legs also participate. The water falls with a thunderous roar. The table is never what it used to be.

With Tafelen , dancer, choreographer and theater maker David Middendorp creates a visual performance about the unlimited possibilities of our most common piece of furniture.
